At the meeting with the University administration high-ranking visitors have got acquainted with achievements, current work and plans of the high school for the future. The First Vice-Rector Anatoly Voronin, the Vice-Rector for Informatization Natalia Ruzanova and the Vice-Rector for International Relations Nikolay Toivonen have discussed various aspects of PetrSU's activity including those that concern information technologies, international cooperation and joint projects, and development of innovations with the Head of the RK and the governor of Oulu. During the meeting problems related to exchange programs of the University, introduction of distance education and others were brought to notice. 

Participants of the meeting have paid special attention to the problem of training of the highly skilled staff, especially for such perspective directions of the region as tourism energy-saving technologies. 
After the meeting in the Rector's office E.Siuruainen has performed lecture for PetrSU students on social and economic role and place of the province of Oulu in Finland and Northern Europe. During his lecture the governor also attracted students' attention to necessity of increase of the level of professional training, including by means of the higher school as under modern conditions the human resource becomes the basis for the further safe development of economy of districts, states and large regions.
