Born in 1961

Basic education: Faculty of Medicine of PetrSU, graduated in 1984 with the diploma with distinction, completed clinical internship from 1984 till 1986 at the Chair of faculty therapy, postgraduate study from 1986 till 1990 at the Chair of faculty therapy. 

Ph.D. thesis on "Features of the clinical course of the chronic bronchitis and condition of some protective factors of the organism in the region of Karelian ASSR " on the speciality of "pulmonology" was is defenfed in 1991. 

Thesis for the Doctor's degree on the theme of "Region of the Republic of Karelia as the territory of assigned risk of respiration organs' sickness rate of the population" on the speciality of "pulmonology" was defended in 1998 in the Russian state center of pulmonology.

Scientific interests: medicine (internal illnesses), medical ecology, basic epidemiology, immunology, technique of teaching the family medicine.
