Basic fields of scientific research:

• automation of designing of highways and transport processes under conditions of Republic Karelia;

• problems of initial processing of wood waste products on the consumer goods;

• construction of highways on weak soils;

• development of new technologies of boring-explosive works;

• perfection of technological processes of group processing of wood.

In 1999 together with chair of technology and equipment of forest complex a new major Management and enterprise activity at the timber industry enterprises has been introduced. Since 2000 together with the chair of technology and equipment of forest complex a major Organization of manufacture and entrepreneur activity at the timber industry enterprises has been declared.
