Visit of representatives of public organizations for youth affairs from Bremen (Germany) to PetrSU

Meeting of Rector Anatoly Voronin and the university employees with representatives of some public organizations for youth affairs from Bremen (Germany) was held in Petrozavodsk State University. These public organizations work in the most various spheres, including social work, ecology, development and implementation of projects against racism and projects on culture, organization of international youth exchanges and work with street youth.

PetrSU was represented by the assistant to the rector on educational work P.Yakovlev, head of the Directorate for international cooperation L.Kulikovskaya, chief of the Department of Exchange and Educational Programmes G.Parikhina, head of the Directorate for social development L.Povilainen and vice-chairman of the Students' organization of the Trade Union of PetrSU P.A.Prokhorov and teachers of the Chair of German Philology.

Rector Anatoly Voronin has told amply about the university, its students and student initiatives in PetrSU , about youth projects being implemented in the institute of higher education now. During the meeting participants have exchanged opinions on many aspects of student's and youth life, discussed development of exchange programs between institutes of higher education of Germany and Russia, summer cources offered at PetrSU.

A fact-finding excursion to the Scientific Library and Regional Center of New Information Technologies has been organized for the visitors.
