Mikhail Utkin, student of the Faculty of Physical Engineering of
Petrozavodsk State university is the World Ski Orienteering Champion.
The largest ski orienteering competitions of this year were held in
Transylvania (Romania). In a small mountain resort of Miercurea Ciuc
there gathered 330 racers from 23 countries of the world to compete
for medals of the European Championship among adult sportsmen, and the
World Championship among juniors (under 20 years of age).
The junior student of the Faculty of Physical Engineering of PetrSU
Mikhail Utkin has won two gold medals in the middle and long distance
races. In sprint Mikhail was the second, and as a member of the
Russian team he came fourth in the relay race.
