Teachers and students of the Faculty of Mathematics of Petrozavodsk State University have taken part in the Fifth seminar of the Finnish-Russian University Cooperation in Telecommunications (FRUCT) program, and have run short-term courses on software development for Nokia Internet tablets on Maemo platform.
Faculty of Mathematics is taking an active part in the FRUCT program.
On April 27-28, 2009 Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation has held Fifth seminar of the FRUCT program. Teachers of the Chair of Computer Science senior lecturer Alexander Borodin and lecturer Alexander Kolosov have tought short-term course on software development program for
Nokia Internet tablets on Maemo platform for portable devices. The course was attended by thirty participants from higher educational institutions and other organizations of Russia.
Teaching materials and SDK Maemo development tools were located in electronic format on the notebook-server on the technology developed by the senior lecturer of the Chair of Computer Science Vadim Ponomarev.
Teachers and students of the Faculty of Mathematics have also presented their papers at the seminar on subjects of the FRUCT program.
