Inter-regional research and practice conference on modernization of rural school education in Russia passed in Petrozavodsk

On October 28-29 Regional Center for rural education development of PetrSU together with Petrozavodsk Pedagogical College, Karelian State Pedagogical University, Institute of professional development for educationalists of the RK has held an inter-regional research and practice conference Rural school of Russia at the stage of modernization: educational potential, prospects of development.

Conference was held on the basis of Petrozavodsk State University, Petrozavodsk pedagogical college and three secondary comprehensive schools of Prionezhsky region: villages of Ladva and Zaozerie and the settlement of Meliorativny. Within the scope of the conference there passed a plenary session, thematic group meetings, presentations of innovative experience of rural educational establishments of the RK, as well as exhibition of scientific and methodical researches and projects.

Among issues discussed by participants of the conference there were new models of organization of education in the countryside under modern conditions, rural children at varying school and society, activity of innovative rural educational establishments, experience in implementation of modern social and pedagogical technologies in schools of the countryside.

On the first day of work of the conference in the main building of the university reports were made by the head of the Regional Center for rural education development A.Andreiko, Ph.D. in pedagogics; President of PetrSU V.Vasiliev, Deputy Minister of Education of Karelia S.Nisimov, rector of KSPU S.Grippa, Vice-Rector for Research of the Institute of professional development for educationalists O.Dyachkova.

The second day of the conference was held in rural schools of Prionezhsky region. Each school presented programs on the following subjects: Traditions and modern technologies in patriotic education of pupils in rural schools, Suburban school as a social and cultural center of rural settlements in the system of relatuions with the closest and distant society, Regional component in the activity of the school as of the social and cultural complex of suburban settlement.

The conference concluded by work of the round table which participants discussed problems of rural education development.
