Meeting of teachers of the Faculty of Agriculture of PetrSU with the delegation of Agricultural Institute of Central Östrobothnia (Finland)

A meeting of teachers of the Faculty of Agriculture with the delegation of Agricultural Institute of Central Östrobothnia (Finland) concerning traineeship of students of PetrSU on farms of Finland was held at Petrozavodsk State University.

Head of the Chair of animal breeding (zootechniques) and provisions examination Anatoly Bolgov, Full Professor, Doctor of Africulture, Honored Scientist of the RK and RF, Head of the Chair of mechanization of agriculture Leonid Chernyaev, Associate Professor, Ph.D. in Engineering, and teacher of the Chair of mechanization of agriculture Evgeny Tikhonov have taken part in the meeting. Delegation of Agricultural Institute of Central Östrobothnia was headed by its director Jarmo Matintalo.

Participants of the meeting have discussed opportunities of joint cooperation in the field of granting traineeship places to students of PetrSU as well as documentation of the project, number of students to work on probation, and the necessary level of preparation of young experts.

The Finnish colleagues have expressed high interest in the joint project, as the Chair of animal breeding (zootechniques) and provisions examination of PetrSU is unique in the European North of Russia (Republics of Karelia and Komi, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions) training experts in the field of animal husbandry. The project will allow to exchange experience in the field of selection of animals, fish-breeding, technologies and management of raw material and animal produce, information technologies, fur farming, poultry farming, horse breeding and carry out scientific research.
