Press conference of the Karelian delegation of IIIrd Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments

On February 14, 2003, in the administration of PetrSU press conference of the Karelian delegation of IIIrd Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments held from February 4 till February 7 in the All-Russian exhibition centre under the initiative of the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies of the Russian Federation has passed. Two developments of scientists of the University have received gold and silver medals, and the entire PetrSU exposition, unique of the European North Russia, was noted as the best among all presented in the section of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. Thus, according to participants of the forum, the first participation of the higher educational institution in the international exhibition of such a high level can be considered successful.

On conditions of the Salon only two developments of the University could participate in the nomination to win the awards of competition "Inventions and Innovational Development". PetrSU has presented on Salon medical microplasmatron (developed by V.A.Gostev, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, Asociate Professor of the Chair of electronic and ionic devices of the Faculty of Physical Engineering), surgical biocybernetic technologies of treatment of bronchial asthma (developed by S.E.Karashurov, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor of the course of general surgery of the Faculty of Medicine), the microsurgical tool and microsurgical technologies for removal of alien bodies from eye cornea (developed by F.A.Misyun, Ph.D. in Medicine, Asociate Professor, head of the course of eye illnesses of the Faculty of Medicine), scale of equipment on water treating (developed by R.I.Ayukaev, Doctor of Technical Engineering, Full Professor, head of the Chair of water-supply, gidraulics and water drain of the Faculty of Industrial and Civil Engineering), program environment WebDistant for conducting remote training (developed by E.E.Kurgi, head of the Centre of Invention of PetrSU, P.M.Kasianov, post-graduate student of the Chair of mathematical modeling of systems of management of the Faculty of Mathematics)

In addition in the exposition of the University booklets of regional projects of the Concept, Law, and Program of development of innovational activity in the RK, Technopolice of the RK, analytical materials about innovational activity in the RK, color catalogue of innovational developments of PetrSU prepared by M.V.Zolotov for the exhibition, including with use of joint developments with the Institute of economy of Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Science.

Innovations in technology of bronchial asthma treatment by Sergey Karashurov are marked by the Gold medal of the Salon and the diploma of the Russian agency in patents and trade marks, and medical microplasmatron by Valery Gostev has won the Silver medal of the Salon and the special international diploma (Estonia). One of the developments of the University was recommended by the head of department scientific innovation activity of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation A.V.Suvorinov for inclusion in the Russian delegation on XXXI International Salon of Inventions, New Equipment and Goods that will be held in Geneva from April 9 till April 13 of the current year.
